About Sarah
My style is very easy-going and fun. I’m known for being warm and approachable, and enjoy working with people from all walks of life. I love to laugh, and those who know me say I lend my “bubbly personality” to most things with a smile! I pride myself on being well prepared and organised - which I believe is key to having a relaxed and seamless day. I am an open communicator and timely responder!
I love the quirky as much as the traditional, supersized ceremony or intimate elopement.
Ultimately, delivering your dream day and helping make beautiful memories is what drives my passion.
I became a Celebrant following the amazing experience of getting hitched to my husband, Cameron, and commencing an exciting new stage of my life after the close births of my two children, Annie (three years old) and Hugo (two years old). We are based in Swannanoa, North Canterbury (10 minutes from Rangiora). This is the midway point between Christchurch and our farm in Oxford, near the snowy mountains where we get to enjoy the fresh Southern air!
Prior to embracing family life, I worked as a lawyer, and later in the commercial world. My professional background helps me with the few legal requirements of officiating ceremonies, as well as a strong foundation in public speaking and presentation. Creativity and careful planning are the cornerstones of how I run my everyday life - extremely important when wrangling two young mischief-makers!
Although I am based in North Canterbury, I regularly officiate weddings and events throughout Christchurch and wider Canterbury and am more than happy to discuss further travel (especially Hawaii or an Island hotspot).
Family is truly the most important thing and it’s a privilege to be part of crafting beautiful memories with couples and families celebrating life and love.
